I am very happy with this dentist. I moved to this dentist after a bad experience at my old one, which always made me feel comfortable and at ease. I moved out of the area but will still use this dentist and can’t recommend it enough.
Barrier Whitening
Bright Dental Surgery, St Johns, Woking
Barrier whitening is a professional teeth whitening treatment where a protective barrier is applied to the gums before a powerful whitening agent is used to brighten your smile.
Barrier teeth whitening is a cosmetic procedure in which a dentist uses a protective barrier to shield the gums and soft tissues in the mouth before applying a strong whitening agent to the teeth. It can be a highly effective yet very simple way of lightening the colour of teeth without removing any of the tooth surface. It does not change the colour of the teeth but lightens the existing colour.
What does the procedure involve?
The dentist applies a chemical barrier to the gums, protecting them during whitening. The whitening solution is then applied to the teeth, and the chemical is activated using heat or heat and light combined.
Once the whitening process is finished, the barrier will be easily removed in one piece.
If the tooth has been root treated, the canal, which previously contained the nerve, may be reopened and the whitening product is put in.
